About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Pittsburgh at 3821 Willow Ave, Kabob-G Grill is a true celebration of authentic Middle Eastern cuisine that delights every sense. This cozy, unpretentious restaurant delivers an inviting atmosphere where warmth from the family-owned establishment complements the vibrant flavors on every plate.

Their menu is a treasure trove of traditional Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes, carefully crafted with fresh ingredients and bold spices. Start your meal with the Mezza Platter, a colorful and textured assortment featuring creamy hummus, savory baba ganoush, bright tabbouleh, tangy feta, and crisp pickles—each bite bursting with freshness and harmony. The falafel sandwich, with its perfectly crispy chickpea and fava bean patties wrapped in warm pita, is another must-try that brings robust earthiness balanced by cool tahini.

For the entree, the Kabob-G Grill truly shines. Their skewers of Shish Kabob lamb are juicy and tender, paired beautifully with fragrant rice pilaf and a crisp house salad. The Filet Kabob boasts succulent, marinated filet mignon that melts delightfully on the tongue, while the Moussaka brings a comforting layer of eggplant, zucchini, sirloin, and potatoes enveloped in a creamy béchamel sauce that’s both hearty and refined. The gyro platter, served with fresh vegetables and cool tzatziki, offers nose-to-tail flavor that perfectly captures the spirit of Mediterranean street food.

Diners often mention their favorite highlight: the warm, freshly baked water pita bread. It’s soft, pillowy, and fragrant—a perfect scoopper for hummus or a flavorful dip. Pair your meal with a refreshing glass of their house-brewed iced tea for a balance of sweet and invigorating notes.

What truly elevates Kabob-G Grill beyond its fantastic food is the genuine hospitality. The staff welcomes you like family, and the intimate dining space feels relaxed yet polished. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick weekday lunch special or settling in for a comforting Saturday meal with friends, you’ll find the consistency and care in every dish unforgettable.

Regulars rave about the authenticity and the freshness, praising everything from the juicy lamb kabobs that never disappoint to the vibrant salads dotted with garden-fresh herbs and vegetables. This is a hidden gem that embodies the soul of Middle Eastern cooking with every bite—rich in history, flavor, and heart.

For anyone seeking a genuine taste of Lebanese cuisine in Pittsburgh, Kabob-G Grill is an absolute must-visit. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience that stirs the senses and warms the spirit.

This is a little hidden gem in Pittsburgh that has great atmosphere and food! The family that runs the restaurant is very nice. The food is authentic, fresh, and delicious. If you happen to go on a Saturday the raw kibbeh is a delicious traditional Lebanese dish. You won’t be disappointed if you dine here!

Unpretentious Small Corner Restaurant serving traditional Middle Eastern foods such as stuffed grape leaves, hummus and kabobs. Everything seemed to be fresh, tasty and made to order. You go there for the great food.

A great place to stop for a hearty meal if you’re playing at the Ice Castle Arena! We were pretty hungry and decided to check out this place. Man, oh man… it hit the spot! We were the only ones there so we had a nice chat with the owner, very sweet guy. This is a family run business and you can absolutely tell by how much love they pour into their food! We had everything from the platter to gyros etc, all great stuff.

While in Pittsburgh, PA, we went to dinner and had some food I grew up on at Kabob G Grill. This is a mom and pop Middle Eastern place family run. We had grape leaves (meat and vegetarian), hummus, loobyeh with beef tips, sleek, rice, and fattoush salad (Check attached menu for ingredients). Their food was delicious and authentic. If you happen to be in the Castle Shannon suburb of Pittsburgh and looking for some amazing Middle Eastern dishes, this place is a must. The service was great, and the portions were very filling. Enjoy!

My sister was in town the weekend of 8/18/23 and wanted us to take her out for Middle Eastern food. My wife and I hadn't been here since our first visit in Jan. '23. We live in the North Hills, but the food is authentic and very good, so we knew it would be worth the drive. No one was disappointed. We started with the baba, which had that familiar smoky flavor. My sister had a salad and my wife the feta spinach pie. I opted for the sleek, a cooked dish made with spinach, black-eyed peas, bulgar wheat and onions. We all shared the rice pilaf, with vermicelli and toasted almonds, which adds a nice contrast in texture. Sister got the filet kabob, my wife the shish tawook and I the kafta kabob. All of the kabobs came hot off the grill and were moist and flavorful. We topped it off with the homemade baklava, which was also good. The Kabob G Grill is located in Castle Shannon, PA, about a block off of Castle Shannon Blvd., in a small building with a nondescript front. There was ample room inside to be seated away from other diners. It appears to be a family operation, with the mother and father staffing the kitchen and the daughter as the waitress. Service was quick and pleasant, the cooked dishes all arrived freshly-made and everything was delicious. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. In fact, the only thing I'd change about this place is the name. I know there is at least one other restaurant in the Greater Pittsburgh area with the word "kabob" in the name. It's located in the North Hills, but I think I'd choose a name that was more distinctive to eliminate any possible confusion and make it memorable for customers. All in all, I highly recommend the Kabob-G Grill if you are looking for authentic, delicious Middle Eastern food.
